Mechanical Design Engineer – Defense Sector

The Role

As a Design Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team, responsible for designing and developing your technical area within the project. The role also includes participating in concept studies, improvement initiatives, and communicating with suppliers.

  • Strong knowledge of PTC Creo.

  • Previous experience from similar industries is a plus.

  • Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Project Planner – Defense Sector

The Role

Android Platform Engineer

About the role

As an Android Platform Engineer, you will work closely with our clients to develop and adapt Android at the system level. You will be involved end-to-end – from architecture and design to implementation and optimization of advanced embedded solutions.

Lead Engineer Powertrain

Component owner – commercial/heavy vehicles

Have you previously worked as a Lead Engineer, sub-project manager, or component owner within heavy vehicles? Do you have a mechanical background and want to work with a world-leading vehicle manufacturer?

Sigma Industry is now looking for a new colleague for our office at Lindholmen or for assignments on-site with our customers.

As a component owner within mechanics at Sigma, you will have a broad area of responsibility. Together with the rest of the team, you will drive and manage your components or systems forward in the development process. Job description:

  • Implement strategies, specifications, and reports for cyber security and network infrastructures in industrial automation and control systems.
  • Ensure design is in accordance with requirements to network infrastructures and cyber security.
  • Participate in meetings and technical workshops with suppliers and customer, to review network architectures and cyber security compliance.
  • Contribute for design/adaptations/modifications of network infrastructures and interfaces as needed for physical infrastructures as well as for configurations of network equipment.
  • Give input to work processes and workflows when needed and implement these into projects to drive the desired results.
  • Review and comment on supplier topology drawings, functional specifications, and test procedures.

Job description:

  • Participate as SAS engineer in Modification and Maintenance projects.
  • Responsible for SAS system design and integration.
  • Participate in fire and gas safety reviews.
  • System design of process, utility and electrical systems (interface, FS, SCD and HMI input).
  • Follow-up system design for equipment packages and electrical automation system.
  • Designing solutions according to our client’s requirements.
  • Follow up vendors and vendor technical documentation; participate in test activities/FAT.
  • Ensure that vendor and engineering information required for progress of the work is identified and communicated to the project interface to other disciplines, suppliers and client.
  • Perform and complete engineering documents, IO lists and data registers.
