“I wanted to understand what an engineer actually does, and I’ve always been drawn to development and problem-solving.”

Meet Elias – a curious problem-solver with a flair for both technology and communication 🙃

How do you become an engineer? For Elias, it started with curiosity and a genuine interest in how things work. “I wanted to understand what an engineer actually does, and I’ve always been drawn to development and problem-solving,” he says.

His journey to Sigma began in a somewhat unexpected way — through pizza. In the spring of 2018, we drove our beloved Sigma truck down to the campus in Halmstad, handed out pizza, and held speed interviews.
The rest is, as Elias puts it, history.

Since then, he has taken on several exciting assignments and today works as a Business Analyst at Volvo Cars. There, he develops processes and IT tools that enable external collaborations and strengthen internal product development. The best part of the role? Following ideas from concept to reality — solutions that simplify, streamline, and improve the user experience. “Working closely with the business, understanding challenges, and helping drive change forward — that’s what makes the job truly enjoyable,” he says.

Life as a consultant suits Elias perfectly. The opportunity to meet many different people, both at client sites and internally at Sigma, makes every assignment unique. His best memory so far? The conference in Barcelona in 2018, where he met all his wonderful Sigma colleagues for the first time.

In his spare time, Elias enjoys cooking and experimenting with new dishes, both at home and at restaurants. He’s also into music and is currently learning to play the piano — the latest addition to his growing collection of instruments. A slightly unexpected talent? He can automate almost anything, even tasks that would probably be faster to do manually…

His best consulting hack: be extremely clear in communication and visualize as much as possible. If he could choose a superpower at work, it would undoubtedly be mind-reading.

And if you’re wondering which emoji best captures Elias? Easy: 🙃 chronically sarcastic, with a twinkle in his eye 😉
