Exterior Lighting from Concept to Production

We work with the design and development of exterior lighting systems for passenger vehicles at Volvo Cars, with responsibility for both front and rear lighting. The assignment has covered the entire development process — from early design and technical concepts to industrialization and production launch.

The work has been strongly delivery-focused and carried out in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. We have ensured that the lighting solutions meet requirements related to functionality, quality, cost, and manufacturability, while also contributing to the vehicle’s visual identity and road safety.

The team has worked hands-on with the development of lighting functions, technical solutions, and system integration for both front and rear lighting. Through technical leadership, continuous follow-up, and problem-solving, we have supported the projects through complex phases and adapted solutions as conditions evolved.

The result is robust and well-balanced lighting systems that perform reliably in production, meet regulatory requirements, and create a distinct and recognizable lighting signature on the road.
