Advanced HBM Development Using Medical Imaging and Segmentation

We have worked with medical imaging data to create detailed and tailored human body models for simulation and analysis within Life Science and MedTech.

Through our experience in biomechanics, we have developed a strong understanding of how and where to source relevant anatomical scans, from both open-source and proprietary databases. These models are adapted to specific needs and used to build FE models with varying levels of complexity, including segmentation of internal structures from MRI and CT data.

When required, we manage the full process of new data acquisition in collaboration with external partners—from planning and participant recruitment to scanning and subsequent segmentation. This enables comparative studies, such as with and without a product, as well as the development of customized baseline models.

We also explore the use of advanced human body models such as THUMS and VIVA+, adapting them for new applications within Life Science and MedTech.

The result is high-quality, realistic human body models that enable more accurate simulations and stronger decision-making in product development.
