Mechanical Design Engineer – Defense Sector

We are currently experiencing a strong demand for design engineers in the defense industry and are looking for someone with experience in PTC Creo who is ready to keep developing with us.
The Role
As a Design Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team, responsible for designing and developing your technical area within the project. You will work closely with other design engineers and specialists responsible for adjacent components. The role also includes participating in concept studies, improvement initiatives, and communicating with suppliers.

Your Background

B.Sc or M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or similar.

A few years of experience as a Design Engineer.

Strong knowledge of PTC Creo.

Previous experience from similar industries is a plus.

Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Project Planner – Defense Sector
Are you a positive teamplayer with attention to details? Would you like to develop in a challenging team setting? We are currently looking for a Project Planner to organize and track the material purchases and production schedules for products within the Defense sector.
The Role
As a Project Planner, you will be a central part of the interface between Engineering, Purchasing, Project Management, and Production. You will plan and monitor that materials and manufacturing processes are available on time to secure a smooth and continuous production flow. You will also be responsible for managing Change Orders and assessing their impact on the project schedule. You will handle material shortages or production bottlenecks and implement necessary actions.

You are a structured and organized individual who pays close attention to detail, which is essential for managing intersecting timelines. You enjoy working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and have strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across the business. You are a reliable self-starter who takes ownership of your responsibilities and can independently drive your work forward.
Your background
- A B.Sc or M.Sc in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 2+ years of experience in Production Planning, Materials Planning, Project Scheduling or similar.

With us, you’ll work in project-based assignments, either at the customer’s site or at our in-house operations in Lindholmen, focusing on the development of powertrains, transmissions, and engines (ICE, PHEV, BEV).
As a Powertrain Engineer, you will play a key role in development projects within industrial and marine applications as well as heavy-duty vehicles.
Your work may include design, component responsibility, or, in some cases, technical project management. The projects vary in scope and content – but what they all have in common is close collaboration with our customers, often in an international context. Component owner – commercial/heavy vehicles
Have you previously worked as a Lead Engineer, sub-project manager, or component owner within heavy vehicles? Do you have a mechanical background and want to work with a world-leading vehicle manufacturer?
Sigma Industry is now looking for a new colleague for our office at Lindholmen or for assignments on-site with our customers.
As a component owner within mechanics at Sigma, you will have a broad area of responsibility. Together with the rest of the team, you will drive and manage your components or systems forward in the development process. Your main tasks will be to keep full control of timeline, cost, technology, geometry, and quality.
The work is carried out in an international environment in close collaboration with suppliers, purchasing, testing, production engineering, and project management. In this role, you will face new challenges every day and, in return, gain a great opportunity to develop and build new experience.
The role is varied and suits someone who wants to work proactively, but who is also not afraid to step in where needed at the moment.
