Python Developer

  • Develop in-house programs for the preliminary design process of subsea umbilicals.
  • Implement software modules based on provided structural frameworks and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely to refine program functionality, accuracy, and efficiency for engineering applications.
  • Design and build user-friendly graphical interfaces (GUIs) for ease of use in Python.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Document codebase thoroughly to ensure easy handover and future maintainability.
  • Strong proficiency in Python with a focus on engineering applications.
  • Familiarity with core Python libraries used in data processing, numerical analysis, and design engineering (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas).
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) and modular design.
  • Proficient in developing graphical user interfaces using Python GUI frameworks such as Tkinter, PyQt, or Kivy.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles to create interfaces that enhance usability and productivity.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing project milestones and deadlines in collaboration with the design team.
  • Proficient in code documentation and version control using Git or other repository management systems.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify issues efficiently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently and propose creative solutions to technical challenges.

Kvalifikationer

  • Understanding of the basic principles of structural design, mechanics, or systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with engineering workflows, preferably within the domain of subsea or structural design.
  • Familiarity with data architecture principles or data management best practices to help organize and structure design-related data effectively.
  • Prior experience in similar engineering or design-related software projects.
  • Knowledge of automation and digital transformation processes in engineering but with a focus on hands-on coding.
  • Understanding of tools like Jupyter notebooks, data visualization packages (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn), and experience with API integration.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality in coding and interface design.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical issues in an accessible way.
  • Adaptable to changing project requirements and eager to take ownership of the development process.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to optimizing engineering design processes through the development of robust, in-house software.
