THE ROLE
As a Lead-Engineer, you will work onsite at a Tier1 supplier for plastic components. You will be the technical link between internal stakeholders and the OEM Project Leader and Design Engineers. You will collaborate with a team of Tooling, Process and Manufacturing Engineers to make sure that all aspects of Design For Manufacture (DFM) are considered and implemented in drawings and technical specifications etc. The Lead Engineer is expected to work several days a week at a location 100–120 km north of Gothenburg.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, with strong commitment and drive. You are communicative and capable of handling dialogs with OEM/customers as well as sub-suppliers, testing department and factory operators. You find ways to drive your project forward in an independent way while still collaborating closely with all internal stakeholders. You enjoy being the lead authority within your technical area, taking full ownership of your deliveries while acting as the Tier1 customer-facing representative.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or similar.
- 5 years experience from Design of plastic components or an equivalent engineering role from Tier1 supplier.
- Ability to work in a structured way and to thrive in close collaboration with others
- Previous experience from the Automotive industry.
- Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
